MyRealBox catches Klez

User Jobs@verizon.net tried to send you a message
containing the W32/Klez.gen@MM virus.

The infected message has been returned to the sender with a notice that it was infected.

That's interesting. I use myrealbox, from time to time, but the folks that have that email address would not be sending a virus to me.

Yeah, that was the weirdest part -- jobs@verizon.net would hopefully not be sending out viruses. I figure if it really was a virus that was caught, whoever sent it must have spoofed the From address.

Hmmm. I had this on one of my computers on my network (I don't own the computer). Took out McAfee anti-virus, quite some apps, and lots of jpeg's. Took a demo of norton to get rid of.

I recently started using myrealbox.

I've had 2 virusus caught so far. Very nice feature. Since I'm new to myrealbox, can't say how long they have been doing this.

i cant help but laugh a little at this one, a verizon server being infected and performing the mass-mailing feature of the Klez virus. in the first days of nimda, i remember getting an infected email from a employee of road runner. kinda funny to me....at least u caught it.

I just had to test this out, So I sent myself a Trojan and sure enough it was detected.

MyRealBox has been great so far and this is another cool perk! Even if it doesn't catch everything (and what virus scanner does?), it's great to have another line of defense -- and at the server level, no less. I'm impressed.
