The only Bay Area radio station geared to teens and preteens, KZQZ-FM (95.7), fired its entire staff and changed format Tuesday. The station is now playing music for older men, according to station executives.
The Bonneville station, affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was the only Bay Area station that played clean music that parents could let teens listen to unsupervised. However, its management said ratings weren't high enough.
Thats strange, i thought it was the most popular amongst teens.

| One day I turn my back and the next I hear counrty! That is Hella shitty. I am not a fan of the new radio station. I'm starting a riot. Now I have no radio station to listen to, and next in line is Wild 94.9 and that is nothin but rap, soul, and hip hop, which I will never listen to. You will never really hear Britney Spears on that station. Jean and Julia were at least decent to listen to in the morning. anybody that wants to join my protest, sign up now cause there will be hell to pay when I get my hands on those overweight, middle aged, balding baby boomers that thought this up! |

89.3 is the most comparable just doesn't reach as far SF is a stretch parts of SJ is a stretch as well

It's pretty typical to not announce changes like that... it's a marketing thing I'm sure...
Same with things like morning DJs.. they fire people and then you turn the radio on and it's somebody new..
The best way to tell a radio station they suck is to not listen to it.
