Wow, it's funny reading such posts like this comparing American broadband to Australian broadband. Our current B.B. package only allows us 3GB @ $87.95 per month (roughly $45 U.S.). I worked out if we go over the 3GB we're charged at $130 AU compared to your $8 (equivalent to $16 AU). I wish Australia would follow your trends regardless how bad they seem to you at the moment. |

Young man/woman, why in the world would you even sign up for a package like that? B.B. was not introduced so you can surf the web faster, it is for quick FTP. Either your ISP has a monopolistic hold on your area or there are enough of you still joined up to keep them happy. Get people to quit and when the money stops flowing into your ISP's bank account I bet they will either fold or change their tune fairly quickly. |
