Kazaa users less than 400K? what the?!

At first I thought it was just me. My main computer is on AOL DSL. Ran Kazaalite. Saw less than 400K users currently online. So I thought my comp is having hiccups again (last time this happened, I saw only 100 users). Rebooted, and ran kazaa. Again only less than 400K users. Well, maybe my comp is not in a sharing mood. So I got on my other comp using NetZero dial-up. Oh, how I do NOT miss dial-up modems! Ran kazaa, and had the same 400K users online.

What happened to the Kazaa community out there?!

Or am I hallucinating?!

Same here only 401,581 users online. I'm using Kazaalite.

Dude, quit smoking all the crack all the time.

I too noticed this, I thought maybe my ISP figured out a way to block users from Kazaa to save on their bandwidth...

It still seems to be working. Maybe there was a union meeting and we missed it.

KL is still working so if I had to guess I would say some isp got really pissed and made the decision to block port 1214 (think thats kazaa port).

For it to have that much effect on the users, the ISP who blocked would have to be Verizon or AT&T. I am on Verizon and still can get one. Anyone on AT&T who can connect?

Think it is possible that the script that shows the counter for people and files just broke ?

No, because my searches for files turns up less results as I remebered they used to. What's the deal? Anyone know? It's starting to piss me off when everything I was downloading says "Remotely Queued"

No, I don't think it's broke.

I just think everyone is just too busy watching the Celtics kick Detroits rear ends. The games over, so the Kazaa population should start to go up.

It's just a theory.

At least you're getting remotely queued. All I get is "more sources"

Ohwell...

I'm on AOL Plus DSL, Telco is SBC PacBell.

Well, I'm on Bellsouth, and I can get on. But it's showing 410k users right now.

Perhaps there is a major outage going on with one of the big ISP's/backbones?

I'm seeing the same amount of users as you guys but Kazza is working fine for me. I've downloaded quite a few files tonight at the usual quick speeds. I'm also getting lots of results on searches.
