 That's Dirty

But almost all buisnesses do it. I think that they caught up on it because it has to deal with security, and to threat of cancellation is a bit overboard if you ask me. Why not just do what the credit cards do?

I never expected something so deceptive from a company like Verisign. Maybe a run of the mill spammer but not Verisign. I have about 20 domains with different registars and some with Verisign. So I ended up getting about 8 letters by regular mail and around 15 emails.

At first I thought these must be the renewals for the domains I have with them. The letters really misled you to believe they were my registar. So I had to keep going back and check my spreadsheet to see who I have with them and what the expiration dates actually are. I really stay on top of things and this one almost really got me. So I can only imagine the millions of users that got duped into transferring to them.

This deceptive shit really pisses me off so I am transferring anything I have from Verisign. Hopefully the lawsuit will make up for the profits they made in duping people.
