 Almost got me

I received one of those letters and was "this" close to renewing my domain name with them. Thank god I have a severe case of procrastination which allowed me the time to think and realize that they weren't the company I had originally registered with. Dirty bastards!

no, he was just too lazy to write down who he orginally registered with, nothing wrong with that

Same here. Except I had email along with the snail. The deceptiveness level they used here is the problem.

A decent warning stating that your web hosting from [fill in blank] and you need to take action. If you want we also do this and why we are better and what we offer.

NOT your web address is about ready to be canceled and you must pay use right now!

I can see the first but they use the 2nd one and is very stupid and will cost them more in the long run.

I have them just for web address with web forwarding. Those jokers really ding you for every thing now and looks like you get one price but add it up and get another. Will switch next time it pop up.

For example I do not need their $12 single page web hosting. Went nuts with their messages about my site still going to die bit even with my months left being in the future!

Either they have major internal problems or they are a problem.
