You cant directly leech off IRC servers. You have to join some channels on the servers.
As for the best networks, I would have to say Dalnet and Efnet. When connected to these networks just do a search on the channel names for the types of files you would like to get (ex mp3, divx, warez, etc...)
For IRC newbies I recommend this faq ( »www.slyck.com/irc.html ). It gives you some of the basics.

I'd have to agree with pranky on his choices for the best networks. Personally, I think DALnet is better than EFnet because of its service. Nickserv, Chanserv, Memoserv aren't available on EFnet. |
