Re: Avoiding The Situation

I'm going to say it right here, rather loud and in no uncertain terms:

Undercover - I'm leaving your post even though IT VIOLATES THE BBR RULES against trolling and flaming. That's the last one like that I expect to see.

Anyone - you don't like what someone else says and cannot offer helpful criticism without getting personal, then keep your fingers off of the keyboard.

In general, if you don't feel anyone's posts are worth reading - then when you see their name as the person starting a thread - CHOOSE ANOTHER THREAD.

No, no one likes a whiner - however, if anyone has what they feel are legitimate complaints against a provider, they are certainly welcome to voice those complaints here at BBR. If nothing else, it gives potential customers some balance in how the service may be. I know I've said this often enough: no two experiences on the internet or with a provider are the same --- even if you live right next door to someone, much less in the same town with them.

SirDuron: for any complaints you have that are with regard to service (speed, latency, disconnects, etc) you should provide test results to back it up. As far as that one with the negative upload speed: an anomaly in the test itself - seen by at least 3 other people on other services, usually seen when a person goes through a proxy server, but not always.

To ALL: In a way you should be grateful for having SirDuron around. Gives you something to complain about. Take a stroll through some of the other cable forums right now and you'll be more than happy with what you have. You might even actually try to help SirDuron out with his problems so EVERYONE has a great connection on W.O.W. And I saw a comment from someone that 'no one but SirDuron' has troubles with the service, and yet I read other threads that tells me this is not the case. So get off of his!

How often do you find a company whose executive's will personally call you back to try to resolve a problem? Go find that with comcast or any other company and see it happens...

I have to agree with hbkh on this one: an appointment was made, they showed up at the agreed upon time and who ever was at the house wouldn't let them in to do the work.

If this happens again (you make appointment and cannot be there personally) you need to make sure that who ever is there will let them get on with their job.

Ken,
Why don't you just get rid of it if you are having such a hard time? I would just go back to Comcast if I was treated as badly as you are claiming.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this correspondence as a followup to the events that happened over the Memorial Day Weekend in reference with the rude technician and now
why myself as a customer am having to pay the price in rude service by WoW Central and treating in about the same manner as a speck of dirt on the side of the road.

Also Mark and myself had scheduled a technician visit for Monday and he came but because i was not personally at the home no work was done.

Could I Please get some feedback / update on these situations..

The answer from the regional president is as follows..

Ken,

As agreed upon when we spoke on the phone, I made arrangements for our service department to visit your home and install a WOW cable modem in place of your Surfboard. The appointment was mutually agreed upon. When we arrived at your address, your adult figure (since i was not personally at home that second) would not allow us entrance to the home. As a result of the refusal to enter your home we were not able to perform the modem installation we discussed.

If you will be home Friday afternoon or Monday morning, we can reschedule this appointment.
