Re: Former Canuck

I just don't get it.

What is the business sense of allowing a competitor offer a better cheaper package ($41.95/mo) over their own RR package ($49.95)?

In a "rational" marketplace, isn't RR / TW going to be forced to match / exceed the $41.95/mo price point / package in order to prevent its customers from migrating to Earthlink ???

I just don't get it !!!

Well, as long as my service in upstate NY remains at least as good as it is, I'll remain a happy camper.

·RoadRunner Cable
·DSL EXTREME

Down here in the Los Angeles area, TimeWarner has already done that.
On Time Warner cable I have the following choices:
AOL BB - $$$$$$!
Road Runner -$49.95
Earthlink - $41.95

How about that. Even though TW owns the lines, its less expensive to use Earthlink, and it has the same UL/DL with more Web space and email!!!
