creating webpage background

I want this in as the background on one of my pages. I created in PSP, saved it as a gif, ut the darn thing tiles when I have it as the background.

How does one make it full page.
Thanks.

There isn't a way to make this tiny pictures a full page background, Cariad. Sorry. But there are other ways to make it full screen (other than a background, that is). It would look blurred though, and possibly ambiguous looking too. Or you could go back into PSP and make the image bigger, but that would increase the file size - as a result causing a longer download time for your webpage.

What exactly are wanting to do? What kind of site is it? What's the dragon about????

Use the line of html text.

<IMG SCR="file name.gif" WIDTH=xxx HEIGHT=xxx Align=left HSPACE=0>

The width and height are to be specified in pixels.

Place this in the space you would normally use the gif file at.
To make it a water mark just use photoshop or some other program and transparency it.

Doing well I just lurk a bit but for you I'll answer a posting anytime.

PS.

Try picking up a book called HTML by Elizabeth Castro.
It is a great reference book and has many coding usages and tricks. Handy item to have on your shelf.

I began my web design career from that book. I learned HTML with it. Ahh... the wonder years. Anyway, I'm teaching a web design class to high school students this summer. I gave one of them my book (literally let them have, that is). You wouldn't believe how much these kids love this class. It's all they talk about. Anyway, Cariad, pick you up a copy. You can visit Elizabeth's online version of the book at »www.cookwood.com.

Oh no no, I wish. I found the dragon on the web, was part of another picture, I snipped the dragon out, and colored the background.

I wish I could draw like that.

This is just resized by stretching in dreamweaver, Cariad. It is in a layout cell. Doesn't look all that bad to me, although I would clean up the edges some before using it for a background pic. You could also edit it in PS, increase the pixel count, then resize back to page size, and it will be more defined, but again, looks okay to me just doing it the most simple way.
