if i were in your spot i would wait. the radeon 9700 is coming out and that may trigger some price drops in geforce 4's. also give us the rest of your system specs so we can give you better advice.

You could wait for the N30. The Nvidia N30 will have cinema quality graphics effects! I got myself a Leadtek GF4 ti 4400 so i could get GF4 ti 4600 speeds for $100 cheaper. I needed a new video card badly. All i had was a old voodoo 3 2000 pci video card. Its like 2 years old or more.

Unless there is an urgent need, I would also advise you hang tight until ATI releases their 9000 range, you should see a drop in prices of both nvdia and ati prices on older cards...
