If you are operating a home office, cable is an alternative in some areas. But the service / usage policies are changing along with the bandwidth charges.
AT&T Broadband limits 1.5Mbs down/ 256kbs up in parts of LA area. Pricing in LA is $42 per month, but new tiered pricing is expected "any day now." Dynamic IP. Tiered price of 3Mb down/ 384kbs up expected at about $80 per month. Some ports are blocked in some areas (esp port 80 into customer). |
