When is Sprint Biz DSL really shutting down?

As of this morning, Sprint has not made a "Section 214" filing with the FCC to discontinue Sprint Business DSL service in any area.

An uncontested discontinuation filing takes at least 30 days, assuming that Sprint has sent out its notices in the correct format (the email many of us received is NOT in the right format).

Sprint cannot discontinue Business DSL in any area until it receives FCC approval.

I know it took several months to shutdown ion past the "cut off date". And i will wait it out and see cause there isnt much else out there that will come close for the money(free)....

Didn't you guys receive letters from the Sprint? The Business DSL goes off line on September 16, 2002 if what they're telling me is right.
DSL Extreme seems like the only competitive option I have for now, I wanted to get Surfcity DSL, but my area is not covered by Verizon...oh well...

I never received a letter telling me that my Sprint Biz DSL line was being shut down. I did get email about the Covad deal, but the email said that wouldn't affect my account. I want the $400 credit.

I was looking at the FCC site that contains the 214 filings, and noticed that you only file a 214 when discontinuing telecommunications services. On ion's 214 filed on Nov 16 of last year it states
"Applicant explains that ION is an integrated service
consisting of both common carrier local and long distance telecommunications services, as well
as Internet access data service."
IANAL, but would dsl discontinuance require a 214 since it is separate and distinct from "telecommunications"? Maybe we wont see a 214 filed? just my thoughts.

9/15-9/16 it will be no more. I said it before and I'll say it again, they DO NOT have to make a "section 214" filing"! If you don't believe me, I hope your hear on those dates so I can say, I told you so!
