It does kill performance. It is best run sitting in the system tray with no screensavers running. Regardless, any little bit helps. Welcome to the team! -- Don't you want to cure cancer? |

One day, about 4 months ago when I registered at DSLR, I clicked on »/forums/all and saw Distributed Computing Clubs. Curiosity led me in and well, fast forward 4 months......here I am
I found this forum/team to be a very friendly one, and that it was set up for a noble cause - finding a cure for something that has killed(and still killing) uncountable numbers of our fellow humans. |

| reply to babacher I found out when it was first developed here on DSLR. I was registered for a long time and one day I login to post and notice that some people have a new spinner beside their names and so I wondered where they got it. I eventually found out and decided to join for a great cause. |

It was the spinner that got me here. I already knew about and was registered at UD. -- And that's the way it is... -- Walter Cronkite |

| Ditto on the spinner thingy... I'm with an ISP, and find myself in here often...learning, helping out where I can.
Been a UD cruncher for a year or so.

| Hey all, well I have been looking at the various teams since joining DSL reports and found this one to be the most logical.
I have lost people due to cancer, and my wife has lost loved ones too as a result of cancer.
So I am just here helping crunch for a cure |

| I had in some old pcworld thing saw the site intel.com/cure. I clicked on the stanford one which lead me to folding@home. I saw the signatures like crazy here for team discovery. I thought what I was doing was this all along, but it was team helix. So I decided to see what this was about. -- Hide yourself from RIAA P2P scans! | Well, the spinner is what advertised the club.
I've been an active member in Team Ecology for a bit now, and I really feel close to the issue that this team supports.
And 98% System Idle Process was just dumb to me. So I decided to do something about it.
