Re: NEW MEMBERS PLEASE READ!

I've known about SETI for years and the basic workings of it. I did not know that there were other sites until I came to BBR. I kept seeing the forum signatures of some of the others "Join Team Discovery" etc....so I came over to the forum, read the FAQ, liked what everyone was trying to do and I was sold!

Perhaps we should ALL have some sort of link in our forum signatures to this group. What does it hurt?

Found out from a friend of mine on this site.

There's a history of cancer in my family, and I'd like to help any way I can. It's such a simple/easy thing to do--how could you not?

After checking out what Team Discovery meant in some peoples sig's I was interested in finding a cure for cancer since my mother had breast cancer ( is ok now ) and father had skin cancer ( is ok now ). So I decided to give a go after I signed up , Glad I can help ..

I found Team Discovery in DSLR some time ago but recently just read about it. I find it very worthwhile that we can ptentially change the world by allowing out systems to be used for such a great humanitarian purpose.

I posted in the General Distributed Computing forum asking why I couldn't find anything about the grid.org / United Devices projects. A kind gentleman in that forum referred me to this forum, where I learned how to join Team Discovery. As I replied to him, I couldn't see that the term "Team Discovery" had anything to do with grid.org or UDC.

Found the team on the UD site and have been a member of DSL reports for quite some time now with different usernames.

Heard several of the Seti Team members crunch here as well.
Checked it out and let the Fiance decide if we were gonna start crunching for UD or TSC.

Here I am, tada!!

I have been crunching away for SETI for awhile now as a team member in another forum (speedguide). Since I no longer go to that forum, I decided to switch all my WUs over to DSLReports. At that point, while visiting the DSLReports Clubs area, I found out about Team Discovery and am happy to be running it on two comps. now!

I found out about Team Discovery from pure curiosity. I saw the spinny thing by members names and decided to find out what it was all about. When I didn't I couldn't not join
