Verizon 7100/768 dsl replacement for Sprint Biz

I discovered you can get a 7100/768 Verizon dsl circuit from selected local ISPs around the country. That's the closest speed to Sprint Biz that I have found. It's line sharing - there is no dedicated data circuit available. Below are two ISPs that I know about. If anyone knows a way to find out all the ISPs that offer this, that would be great information to post here. I don't think there is a national provider offering this. It appears that only certain local ISPs have this available. I'm told that these two have a DS3 connection into their local Verizon ATM cloud.

New York City
ISP is cloud9.net
Verizon circuit
7100/768 for $200 a mo. unlimited data transfer
(only available for ATM based DSL connections)

Dallas, TX
ISP is august.net
Verizon circuit
7100/768 for $110.00 a mo. plus ISP charge depending on how much bandwidth you contract for
(only available for ATM based DSL connections)
*august.net will soon have a DS3 into Bell and offer a 4000/384 Bell circuit for $109 plus ISP charge

Re: Verizon 7100/768 dsl replacement for Sprint Bi

Quaz,

Way to go. I'd love to know what speeds you get. I'm also curious if reading my post is how you found out about the 7100/768 Verizon connection from august.net. I wouldn't have known about it except that I was already aware of august.net in the Dallas area and that they are a great ISP. Other than that I don't know how anyone can learn about it.

Really I'm surprised there wasn't more response to my original post. For a great price, this is the closest circuit to Sprint Biz that I've found. Unfortunately I'm in Bell territory instead of Verizon, so I can't get it.

Why would you get such a fast line when you are going to only use 4 gigs a month?

In my case it's because I'm a bandwidth junkie. And no matter how many GB of data transfer I use a month, I would want downloads/uploads to go as fast as possible - assuming the cost is in the ballpark. Besides, for about the same price as Sprint Biz ($160/mo), you get 16 GB/mo. of data transfer, not just 4. If you don't need that much, then the monthly cost is even less. AND IT'S MO-TO-MO, NO YEAR CONTRACT REQUIRED. This pricing is for residential, a business account is somewhat higher, but still super reasonable.

Anyway, show me any other deal that even comes close to the Sprint Biz circuit !!! Believe me I've searched. As far as I'm concerned, the only problem is that very few people (unfortunately I'm not one) are in an area where this deal is available.

Re: Sprint No Longer Offering BizDSL

Why not call Verizon directly and get this service? No bandwidth caps.

Verizon doesn't directly offer this bandwidth - check their website. It's only available through select ISPs.

Houston We have Ignition!

Just got "Turned On" 6550Kbs down/768Kbs up. It's faster than "Sprint ION" on the download. 5 Static IPs, E-MAIL, Newsgroups and 20Meg Web Storage. Pings as low as 8ms.
