I can't say this enough: for all routers:
Turn off WAN STEALTH MODE.(or whatever your manufacturer's marketing speak calls it)
If you've got a router, there's no need to not to reply to ICMPs and not replying to them causes issues on out network--with YOUR connection. Save yourself the possible headaches.

| yes. Please turn that on. It will prevent the problems that never alluded to. If you suspect your getting DOS'ed, you can always turn it back on.
