| RASPPPOE AND GAMING
I have sucessfully installed RASPPPOE and connection to "websites" is fine, however when I try to host a game (Urban Operations/Rogue Spear) the ip in the options/mplayer section is incorrectly displayed. I have removed the "dummy" DNS and Gateway #s and changed the option back to default but I still am unable to host. I can shut RASPPPOE down and use Enternet 300 to connect and then I have no problem. Is there a way to work around this or must I use Enternet 300 for hosting such games. Any help on this would greatly be appreciated. |

| reply to Sov Just wondering if you've done this yet. In the Network Configuration, network card's properties, remove (uncheck) the binding to TCP/IP. This will probably do the trick for you. -- Sometimes the simplest solutions are overlooked. Join the DSL Reports SETI@Home club. Put your unused clock cycles to work! |

I am using Ameritech Speedpath (not bad service for me). I will page you if you are the zone tonight. Thanks again!! |

| You don't want to disable TCP/IP, you just don't want it bound to your network card. Let's make it simple. See the entry TCP/IP -> (your NIC)? Delete it. This will still leave TCP/IP bound to the Dial-Up Adapter which is all that you need. -- Sometimes the simplest solutions are overlooked. Join the DSL Reports SETI@Home club.
