have you run discleanup?
Left click my computer
right click on C drive
left click on properties
left click on Disc cleanup
You will see the amount of temporary internet files, temp files...you have. If you haven't done this and have had a lot of time online you will be surprised how much crapola is in there. I added 512megs of ram to a system which was running slow and it still ran like molasses in the winter. When I emptied the temporary internet files, it went back to speed
