That's how much they were going to give her. They more than likely thought they could get at least twice that back. But she had a mental breakdown, she is pop and she has been around for quite some time. The public had moved on to the new flavor of the month. The record company over paid and decided to cut their losses and pay her to get rid of her contract. And this wasn't a one cd deal either.
