 Ethernet, winpoet or raspppoe

i had problems hosting games in rogue spear/midtown madness, so i changed dialers from ethernet to winpoet. then i deleted winpoet and tried raspppoe.
so which is finally better, ethernet, winpoet, or raspppoe? what are your opinions on these? which is faster and easier to use?

I have tried WinPoET and RASPPPOE, but not Enternet so I can't comment on that. In my opinion, I believe RASPPPOE seems to work the best for me because 1) it didn't add any icon to the systems tray and 2) it allows me to make a true "always on" connection with my Windows 2000 machine. I have had no problems with WinPoET before using RASPPPOE. After installing RASPPPOE, I received the same download/upload speeds and didn't notice any difference in system resources being used. Some people say that their speeds increased as much as 4% after the conversion to RASPPPOE, but not myself.

Now that you've tried all 3 PPPoE softwares, which one do you like the best?

I have found that once setup, RASPPPoE is dramatically easier to use, with a very clean interface, and I have used all three clients. I never liked having to wait for the large Enternet or WinPoET programs to load during bootup, whereas RASPPPoE loads like any other driver.

I've been using RASPPPOE for over 3 months now and haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. It does its job on boot up and I love it. I'm sure you'll have no problems. The hardest part was getting it started, but since you overcame that obstacle, nothing but blue skies for ya.

As for some having the response to and some not having that, it's just some changes that's going on. I don't have a grasp of what it's all about, but I'm sure one of the moderators will kindly answer that one for us.

I had Enternet from Mindspring DSL. Used it for several months until I came across RASPPPoE. After doing a complete un-install of Enternet and following the directions to the letter for RASPPPoE, I found that the protocol was far easier to use, and it DOES NOT screw up. Ver 0.94 is stable, Ver 0.95b is still buggy.

For your second question.

Because it all relates to the issue at hand, unless the person posting a response re-titles the post.

Also, as this is Justin's house, he makes changes accordingly. This is what we all must live and abide by being his guests here.
