URL in location bar after connecting to BEFSR41

When I log into my BEFSR41 1.36, the URL in my browser (Netscape 4.7) Location box says:

»192.168.1.1/Status.htm

If I make a change while I'm in there and I hit apply, after it prompts me to continue the URL in the Location box changes to read:

»192.168.1.1/Gozila.cgi?pppoeAct=1

I associate the word "Gozila" with a spyware FTP program from several years ago. I know, I'm paranoid, but I never noticed this until yesterday. Maybe I missed it until now and am just assuming the worst, but figured I'd ask.

Does anybody else see the same reference to Gozila.cgi in their location bar/box after they've made a change to their router?

Yup, I got the same thing. I applied on the log page and got this:

»192.168.1.1/Gozila.cgi?Log=0&trapAddr3=255

Gozila!

Thanks for checking Monica. Then I assume Gozila.cgi is a script in the router software if you're seeing it too. Have any idea why the router needs a script? I know the status page automatically refreshes while it's connecting, but I'd be guessing if I said a script is needed to do that.

The router needs the browser to do some of the legwork on refreshing and also to help handle the forms used to configure it, so that's where it comes from. The choice of names is a bit odd, but it's just a name in this case.

I get the same thing on mine.

Much thanks to both of you for the explanation and the reassurance.
