DSS must use a different compression method, because I have noticed that it almost always offers a better picture than the Motorola system that Adelphia uses in our area. I would imagine that it's done this way in the interest of conserving bandwidth.
I wish that the channels in the sub-100 range were transmitted digitally as well. While digital may not be perfect, there is a HUGE difference in quality between digital and analog channels at my house. -- Adelphia Power Link. Available in only two weeks from today. |

| reply to ashakouri1 I had this problem when I had Adelphia Digital Cable for a month. I couldn't received many basic cable channels, like Comedy Central. The tiling on HBO was so bad it was unwatchable. Called several times and it was never fixed. Cancelled the service, got a refund, got DirecTV and I couldn't be more pleased. |
