1 AM Peak Hour?

Like it's 1am and my cable is still brutal I don't see how it could be congested when it's early in the morning

It's like playing a guessing game when the ping is gonna be decent it's like random when the ping spikes are and for how long

Don't you read the boards:P
Read the horrid speeds post and then you'll know why.

There were link problems that were corrected, but it can take hours till all the traffic balances itself out. My ping was still 3x higher than it normally was, but its much better than around 10pm.

There are people who are having real major slow downs and it's nothing to do with the problem Lippy explained. These slow downs have been going on for 2 weeks now. Unless this is the cause for the last 2 weeks and it's fixed, Great!

My ping to Yahoo last night at 12:35am was 107ms.

It was not related to the issue Lippy posted about I noticed the speed well after it was fixed and I'm not routed through where they are if you look. So um yeah

Pretty much everyone would have been affected by the problem last night. If you weren't directly affected by the link being down then you would've noticed a little more traffic as the downed link traffic was diverted to the others.

As for problems of the last 2 weeks....nothing concrete has been identified as a problem or, more importantly, as a common problem. Personally I have not noticed any difference in my connectivity nor have my friends (who are quite vocal when it comes to this) complained to me so while you might be having a problem I suggest we do some investigations before handing this over to the generalization that this is a network wide problem.

VeZoZ...you have an area specific problem. I will again escalate the issue tomorrow but there is nothing I can do about it and it has nothing to do with problems in Belleville, Coburg, Windsor, etc.

Oh I know it was an area specific problem by my trace routes compared to others my ping went sky rocketing way before theirs did :\

I also live near Vez, and last night we were playing CS and the pings were pathetic. They would go from 70 (the server was in texas) to like 500 out of nowhere at around 10:00-12:00.
Hope they can do something about it.

I'm in Belleville Lippy and there is deffinetly a problem here with my speed. In the mornings to afternoon I get around 419KB/Sec (I'm on the Pro package for now)

At night around 6:00pm to 11:45pm my speed goes down to 36KB/Sec I even got as low as 17.9KB/Sec. I'm sorry, but there's no way anyone can say there's nothing wrong here.

I thought that before Cogeco actually does any trouble shooting the line speed has to be under 100KB/Sec. Well I'm deffinetly under that.

Well no matter what package your on VeZoZ that is absolutely disgusting. Your on High-Speed cable paying $44.00 or so a month for that.

There is a problem out there and it needs to be addressed!
We are not making this up folks. I realize that speeds and quality are not consistant. Some have claimed otherwise, but the line speeds that both myself and VeZoZ have posted are a clear indication that somethings wrong somewhere.

There is a point where the level of quality has to be questioned. I'm sorry I don't mean to be rude or harsh, but this is just how I am seeing the situation.

I was told by a Tech on the phone that unless you are getting below 100KB/sec they will not investigate the problem. I presume this is correct info.

No, that is not correct

Yes....there may very well be a problem and in VeZoZ's case I have stated as such. What I am trying to say (hopefully for the last time) is that they are not the same problem. If you have a problem in Belleville then let's look at that but to continually attempt to correlate the two is a waste of time.

Please take a look at this thread »Have a problem? Read this before you post. and provide some information so that I can help you.
