Anyone get their Biz DSL refund yet?

I just received a Billing Statement from Sprint indicating a $400.00 credit. So, hopefully, the refund Check will be soon to follow! They haven't forgotten about me but it sure seems to be taking a long time to finalize.

I, too, have gotten one of the updated bills. But all of a sudden, they are adding a $10 per month "paper billing" fee to the credit.

no I haven't

haven't seen a statement in a while

last one I just ignored....

connection is still up and running, as I'm not calling in to cancel

See me spamming in the Speakeasy forum now...it's been up since 11/1 on this machine, whiel I still have ION running into the ftp server box

1500/384
half speeds but best I can get from Speakeasy
got a free xbox, 2 static IPs and a nice 22ms average ping (21-23 never fluctuating) to my 2nd hop in chicago (chi.speakeasy.net)

pretty smooth

@worldcom.com

I've been ignoring the bills since I confirmed with Sprint that they were shutting us off, so they should only end up owing us $80 or so. Of course, no credit. We finally got booted off the network today, no notice of course. Cyberonic DSL (via Worldcom) is now installed; we don't get anywhere near the advertised 1.5/768 speeds (it's closer to 1Mbps downstream and 512Kbps upstream), and the uunet routing is really strange (all our traffic goes through Portland, Oregon for some reason--we're in Seattle). That aside, the install went very smoothly and they've been pretty helpful and courteous so far. Hopefully they stay in business... although I'm not banking on it.

I have found my upload speeds with Cyberonic to be as fast or faster than ION. Now if they would only uncap the download..... I would pay!!!

And, yes, I too hope they stay in business.

speakeasy 1500/384 was the fastest I could get here....wihthout paying through the nose and going SDSL

speakeasy has 1500/768 some places...but only worldcomm areas I guess, I'm provisioned by covad

swbell only goes to 1500/256 on their home packages...

I'll misss my uncapped 3000/768 speeds being 12000 feet from the CO

Still no Refund yet!

I went with August.net-7100K down/768K up. It is just as fast if not faster than Sprint ION and cost is about the same.

Leechin off the old Earthlink News was Snail pace compared to August's Giganews NNTP.

Where does August.net serve? Any SBC areas?

I think August serves just the Dallas/Fort Worth Area for Residential Accounts. One has to setup service thru Verizon or SBC for the "Line" to August. So you get one Bill from the ILEC and one from the ISP.
The 7M/768K Verizon Line has to be to an ATM provisioned CO. The NYC and DFW areas are the only ones offering this right now. Might just be a "Test Market".

.......News Flash........

I just got the Refund Check-it was just a little over $100.
It's funny that this probably marks the END of my business with Sprint-Happy that it was a Great ride while it lasted but Sad that this really is the End!

BBR/DSLReports will probably continue this Forum until the end of the year so any Lost thoughts,Reflections or Topics should be posted quick. The Plug may get pulled by the end of November instead!

Will the forum be archived somewhere? I'd like to be able to get at the history of postings.

I would certainly hope that this forum is not discontinued until all of us have gotten our refund checks. Until that time, this forum serves as the only method of communication between us former ION and BizDSL customers.

I wasn't planning on having it closed until it was completely dead (no more reasons to post), and I will certainly make an announcement about a week before it happens.

AFAIK, no old forum has ever been deleted, they just go to the Old Forums area on the bottom right of the All Forums page.
