Re: Adelphia's bandwidth standards revealed!!!

Good one

"Sprint Global Markets Group offers HRTC members T1 to the Internet for only $774 per month** with a FREE Cisco 2620 router and one year of Cisco SmartNet Maintenance. Includes IP addresses, network newsfeeds, primary or secondary DNS, modem and cabling. Router can be drop shipped or installed and configured by Sprint free of charge. Sprint is a global communications company, which operates a nationwide all-digital, fiber-optic network provides advanced data communications services. **Pricing does not include local loop. All pricing is based on a 36-month term. "

I also hear they are waiving installation costs. They are also quoting point to point for ~$200 per access segment. I don't know how many are between here and E-City, but I wouldn't think it is more than 3.

I also found this link for rates in SC »www.state.sc.us/oir/rates/docs/s···ates.htm

I'm more inclined to believe the ~$1000 numbers than nearly $2000.

Isn't going from 45 bucks a month for Powerlink to 1000+ a month for a Sprint line quite a leap? No offense, but you must have a little money lying around

And since Adelphia is a volume customer, I highly doubt they even pay that much.

Now, I'm sure some genius at Adelphia will come up with an excuse why Adelphia pays more than anybody else for their T1's.

I'll give her one thing, she's got some big ba**s to put all that stuff in writing!!

Either that, or she's too stupid to know that you'd check!

Quite true

It'll be later this week before I can get hard numbers, but things are looking to be in the sub $1000 range.

If it pans out, it will be just one more thing in the letter that tends to not quite agree with the facts. I'm going to have fun with the bandwidth usage figures too
