|  So what happens to ChoiceLink?
Now that I've finally got my cable Internet service, will the merger with Comcast screw up my speeds? Will they drop it back from 1500/256 to 1500/128? Or even less?
Just my luck I'll end up paying the same or more for less service

| You're right, I don't know....and it's not fair to assume that Comcast will lower the service. I'm a pessimist 
I am just curious to know people's opinions though on what might happen with the service. I really don't care who my provider is per say, just as long as the service is good.

| It is totally fair...somehow they have to bring all the subscribers to an even keel. Look what MediaOne subscribers went through as their UL speeds were cut. On the other side of the coin...what will happen with Ultralink...will we see 2 highbrow tiers 3500/384 for $95 and 3000/384 for $80 or what?
Who knows...but these large providers have a history of dropping service not raising it.

Just a point of clarification. I am in a former Mediaone area. The upload speeds were and continue to be 300 kbps. |

speeds and tier pricing on ATTBI will likely not change as at&t and comcast are currently using two different networks and billing systems. it is cost prohibitive to merge these right off the bat. there are many more things that need to be combined before that can even be considered. as well as contract obligations to third party companys.
