Maybe it will only work until it expires on 1/31/2003 and then you have to download the TotalAccess stuff.

| Something smells wrong about this. It's either a "SITS" (Suck-In-Then-Screw) marketing ploy like cell-phones went through a few years back or a variation to get Earthlink software on machines. Since marketing-data-collecting is the prolific money-maker these days I'm always leery.
So on 1/31/03 *this* stops working unless you load *that*... what's wrong with this picture? Don't your alarm bells go off? My BS alarms are ringing loudly.

EDIT: Well, there is another possibility. It appears the requirement to install EL's TA is part of the licensing enforcement mechanism to protect the proprietary GuardWall PopUpBlocker program. TA can apparently be uninstalled after PopUpBlocker's installation or downloading - I cannot tell which. See ELNKrobert's post below. My alarm bells have dimmed a lot.
