As much as I'll probably get beat up for this, I am your culprit. I'm running an SMC Barricade Plus 7004FW, and upgraded the firmware on Thursday night. At that time, I also enabled the SPI firewall. This is when your problems started.
Adelphia deprovisioned my cable modem, which cleared up the problem, then a support technician called me and worked with me to get it working again. SMC sent me new firmware which they claimed would fix the issue. It did not.
The SPI firewall is turned off now!
To anyone I've inconvenienced, I sincerely apologize. |

Instead I'm going to congratulate you for making this post. I love it when people show me there are still some honesty left in this world. Congrates again.
Just one question: Which Thursday did you do the Upgrade?

| It was actually Wednesday evening (10/30). Early Thursday morning, Adelphia deprovisioned me.
The faulty 7004FW is soon to be on it's way back to SMC and my old reliable 7004BR is back in it's place.
Doesn't have the geek toys, but it least it doesn't try to rewrite routing tables... |
