No tweaks will change your pings. However, you may want to check your optimum MTU for that specific server. You can go to this FAQ »/faq/1605 and run the test. Your 1492 bit MTU may need to be fragmented so do the test and set your MTU where it doesn't fragment. Again it won't change your ping times, but actually throughput will be better. Do you know if you are on a noise profile »/faq/2184? That will increase your ping times in an effort to get better line stability.

i simply must have more outta my connection..LOL
just wondering if i could tweak anything to get a better ping to game servers..right now i connect thur rasppoe set up with a westel 516 modem..i think it's also know as the dtm..i'm running xp pro i get real solid numbers but have always wondered if i could get more? 1140/216-i ping in the 50-60ns range to the tweakster server and in game about 80-100ns..i'd like to get that 50-60 to the game but i know it's the pipe going to the game server my rwin is set to 17520-the recomended and drtcp mtu is set to 1492 as it said to...think i can get anything else outta my connection? thanx in advance for any help guys..i'm in zip 33442 and a long time bellsouth costmer. later jeff
