 Cogeco Uploads Back!?

While mopedicon1 and I were doing some test, all of a sudden AIM, ICQ, MSN etc. started to work. Is everyone back up?

TOLD YOU ALL SO! hehehe

Sadly, right now I'm getting like 300ms pings to my first hop. Called tech support and the guy on the line right away told me something is screwed up with my particular area and that I'd be getting a call from a Tier 2 rep later today. We'll wait and see.

The funny thing is that mopedicon1 and I were testing funneling everything through port 80 of a proxy server when all of a sudden it came back on.
It looked like *we* had found a fix for our connections.
I was overjoyed and proud.
Now I am just overjoyed that it works again.
Thanks Cogeco Staff.

Mine seemed marginally better this morning (not timing out all the time, but still slow). I'm at school, so I can't say how it's doing now.

Huh...... The upload speed in Hamilton is still super slow...... it's below 1 kbps/sec by the way..... Worse than dial up connection....... It's been like this for a week...... What should I do? I'm thinking of swithcing to the Pro deal but then if the upload speed like this who want the Pro deal?

BTW it is clearly understood it is not fixed and we are not out of the woods yet but we are just in a clearing where the sheep can do some grazing.

The final fix is still in the works!
