Forget it. SBC-Yahoo and ISDN

After being directed to numerous 800 numbers from one person to another, I've found it is impossible to get ahold of someone I can ask about ISDN service. They all say that SBC Yahoo does not support it.

I was really wanting to know if SBC Yahoo would support a multilink conenction to make a 256K line but that's ridiculous since you cant even find a tech guy to talk about it.

Anyway, my local ISP will support a 256k ISDN line for $60 a month. Additionally, they will support IP Tunneling if I want to go 1-way sat + ISDN. Plus these guys are more than willing to be helpful in my setup requests.

I'm sticking with local service.

Sounds like your local isp is the best way to go, especially since you want to do something out of the ordinary like bonding 4 channels together. The big guys like SBC Yahoo and MSN are machines and they are not geared towards helping small numbers of people like us who want something different. They are geared towards providing service to large quantities of people.

I suggest you move forward with your local isp and once everything is working fine with them you can try SBC Yahoo for one month free if you have the energy to do so.

Good luck.

Weee, sounds like a cool setup, but it's too expensive for my blood .
