When you buy a CD you get an aluminum disk covered in plastic that holds a digital recording. Lets not get all freaky liberal here about it. If you like an artist just buy the damn CD. Stop moaning about how the record industry bleeds all the profits out of the sale. You are still supporting the artist.

The RIAA and its commanding members don't have that long to enjoy their totalitarian rule over the music industry. The people have spoken regarding high CD prices and pre-fabricated music acts. There WILL be a shift in the powerbase. Mark my words. But saying that buying music is only furthering the RIAA monster is ignoring that you are hurting the artist as well. Record sales mean a lot to the success of a musician.

Well, then maybe the artists will finally stand up and get their fair share by telling the RIAA to take a hike. Music will not die if the RIAA disappears...actually it would thrive as we would have more choices and variety.
