Is anyone else still waiting for refunds from Sprint?
I still had credits from my ION days (over $800 worth). They refunded those to me about six weeks ago, but evidently decided that I was not entitled to the $400 from BizDSL since they owed me so much. I got that straightened out about three weeks ago, but was told that it would be another 6 - 8 weeks after the new credit appears on my bill. They have to audit my account again. So I won't be getting my check until sometime in February.:[

Everyone make sure that if they zero out your account that you have received the refunds that are owed to you!

I guess Sprint has done everything except pay us the money they owe us for shutting down Sprint DSL. Anyone know anything about that?

The Plug was pulled Sept. 16, here in Texas. I got a check in the mail Nov. 16, So my guess is you should see something in about the same time frame.

I feel for you and for all. Perhaps someday later she may return, but for now, we must let it go.

Don't worry about turning off the lights, some of us will be around to deal with the aftermath.

Oh, I still am around.

I will miss her more than most.
I did however forget to put in there the blood sweat and many tears that were expended to make that product a champion. My deepest respect to all of you who made that product a reality and really did make it work!
Additionally, my respect to the many customers that hung in there during the tough times and the lots of enjoyment the product provided us.

Better stop now before I get teary eyed....

I received that formal annoucement from the great JWLANHAM, who had helped many of us throughout 2000-2002 with the great ION product.

Best of luck to him as he lost someone very close to him

On 11/26 at 00:02 CST, Sprint’s HSD officially passed away. She was a good product, stable, little or no downtime. Oh, she was fast one; she would take anything you gave her. She started her life as a young, untested, state of the art project called ION. Her short childhood as ION was an exciting one, with many trial and tribulations but also she experienced many exciting moments. She unfortunately was ahead of her time and suffered from proper exposure to the audience who wanted and needed her. Another significant contributor to her demise was the unyielding RBOCs not willing to concede to the FCC, her young life was short, written off to the land of corporate expenditures. She rebounded by losing her voice, relaying on her incredible speeds to offset any competition from the sluggard ILEC speeds. Awe but alas it was too late, the ILEC market penetration was far to advanced and again she suffered from the proper exposure. We will sorely miss her and her lighting speeds and wonderful personality.
