adelphia up load sux @ 128

I've been on this system for 3 years. adelphia is the 3rd company to own it. Fist was GTE Americast and it had a few issues, but they sorted them out. I was real happy till I had a few troubles, but it turned out to be the modem which was swaped out. All good now, company gets sold and sold again to adelphia. Still good till tonight, used to have great up and down load speeds 2 to 3 meg down 500 up. Well they killed the upload speeds to about 100. So what, try hosting a friendly little kill fest of mohaa on a 128 up pipe, you end up pissing alot of people with the pings going through the roof. Now when these tech folks were out here swapping out the modem I asked them about the upload speeds and they confirmed that 5ook up was the new deal but they were from verizon not adelphia, so now what? Am I stuck with this from them or is there recourse?

What companies actually do and what they should do are two different things

The unfortunate choice is the 128k up or a different provider. From reading your initial post, it sounds like your using a docsis modem and were recently changed over to the local backbone/server farm on the cnr platform.

That's like asking your boss if you could choose your salary.

Except for the fact that, unless you're selling Amway or something, you're not paying your boss.
