Re: Vo-ip Termination

kreep,

Just to let you know I'm a VoIP Engineer for a Gateway Manufacturing company. I have been installing, supporting, interop testing, and consulting VoIP for over 2 years now. What you are asking is quite broad. I could tell you all the companies who make gateways, proxies, gatekeepers etc. ,but I feel this will load you with useless information for your task. It appears that you need to fulfill an RFI. I would like to know what the application is? Please let me know which one of the following applies:
- Virtual office ( 1 office in Canada and another office in The US)
- PBX Extensions ( Connect a VoIP Gateway off the PBX. This will allow you to have all off your PBX features seamless across the VoIP network)
- Service Provider ( Residential market/small business providing DID's to customers and VoIP traffic) check out Vonage for this example.
- which Protocol and Features do you want to use? What about NAT?

There are many other applications for VoIP, but we will just use these to start.

Please advise. I look forward to hearing your response.

Hope that helps,

Vurcos

Thank you for your kindness and interest I'll try to explain our aim as long as I can. I have some details that I've heard from my partners and I'll try to give them to you in the borders of my knowledge

We're planning to be a service provider (vo-ip termination center) only. We'll terminate calls in Turkey. I know that we need a reasonable internet connection (I guess we're planning to have one which is about 1-2 Mbits up-down). Also I know that we need telephone lines (I think they're called E1 -correct me if I'm wrong please-). The only problem is that I don't know the configuration of the system. I mean the needs of the system. Like hardware or software.

I know, these may not be helpful enough but I'm trying to reach my partner in order to be able to give you good answers

Hope these can help for a while

Really thank you for your interest.

Waiting for your reply
