Theres a big difference between 13kft of 26ga and 13kft of 24ga. Obviously no cable is one gauge the entire run, but you get the point.

Grnbeano...when I installed DSL for ASI, the distance limit that 1.5-6Mbps and 384 up was sold was 9K feet. You might not get the full 6Mbps at 9K, but you should get at least 3-4Mbps. DonnelsonM is a block from the CO, he will get the FULL 6Mbps, count on it. DPG stands for Digital Pair Gain, fed by fiber optic signal. The number after it is used to differentiate which DPG you are talking about. They are not ALL DPG82, the one close to you may be DPG82, but they are all DPG with a different number following. All the ones I have seen in OK have four numbers, example DPG4142. |

| I'm just waiting for AOL to release the line.I was beta testing the Mac DSL software, and it was free. So no snive remarks about AOL.  I think I'll start with the 1.5/256 and work my way up from there, as the wife still hasn't agreed to let me pay $160 a month for the 6 meg package.
If the service is good, I'm dropping cox. Even though I get higher speeds with cox (steady 3mb down, 256 up) My pings have been going wild and packet loss has been bad. So, SBC, here I come! I'll keep u guys posted. |

1800 feet that is awesonme. Would love to have the distance from the CO. I am at 11k feet from the CO and I get 1220k down consistantly but would never be able to see the 6000k at all. To slightly qutoe Homer Simpson 6Meg ahhhhhhhhhhh.
