USA | SPARKLING TEXT TUTORIAL [PSP] First unzip the zip file...Place DiamondPatt1 in Paint Shop Pro7 Pattern folder...Place GoldG.jgd in Gradient folder...
Sparkling Text Tutorial:
Start PSP – Open New Image (The one used here is 400 X 200) – Click on Text (The A on the tool bar)…
1. On your first styles button (STROKE) click on the little black arrow (a sub menu comes up like in sample 1)….
2. Click on the second one in sub menu (Gradients like in sample 2)…
3. Click on Gradient (sample 3, 3A, 3B)…To choose what you want for the outline of text (Click on arrow to open sub menu – Choose and click on OK) – I used gold here)…
Now repeat the same step for the second styles button (FILL)…EXCEPT…click on the 3rd button on the sub menu (Patterns like in sample 4…click on arrow and click on DiamondPatt1(Example 4A)…Scale to suit application (Smaller lettering - lower scale)…Set Angle to 0…then click on OK)…This will bring you back to text (Example 4B)…Click OK
Now you can do what you want – resize, rotate or leave it as is – Right click – Copy – Move to blank space & Paste as new image….
Click back on the Image 1 Header…Move cursor over text (Make sure the A looks like this [A] and left click (This will bring up the text box again)…
Click on FILL…This time change the Angle from 0 to 90 (Example 5)…Click OK…Click OK on the text box – Right click – Copy – Move to blank space & Paste as new image…
Click back on the Image 1 Header…Move cursor over text (Make sure the A looks like this [A] and left click (This will bring up the text box again)…
Click on FILL…This time change the Angle to 180 (Example 6) …Click OK…Click OK on the text box – Right click – Copy – Move to blank space & Paste as new image…
Now you should have 3 Images not counting the main one you started with…
Open Animation Shop…
In PSP copy Image 2…Paste as New Animation…In PSP copy Image3…Paste After Current Frame…In PSP copy Image 4…Paste After Current Frame....
THIS IS YOUR COMPLETED SPARKLING DIAMOND TEXT
You can add sparkle tubes or glow effect to enhance the diamond

Can I make one suggestion.
After making the first copy then "Paste as new image" and then going back to the original making changes (changing the Fill angle) then copying again ... click on the new image (image2) and paste as a new layer (Ctrl+L), rather than creating a new image, and do the same for subsequent copy/pastes. That way when you save the image2 as a .psp file it will be able to be opened up with Animation Shop and each layer will be a frame.
Great Job Slick This one will certainly be a great addition to the Tuts links.

Lol this time scaled it too much
One more, went up by 45 degrees by the way (0, 45,90,135,180)
