ADDING TWINKLES TO SPARKLING TEXT TUTORIAL [PSP]

ADDING TWINKLES TO SPARKLING TEXT

THIS IS A CONTINUATION OF SPARKLING TEXT

After making the Sparkling Text make sure you keep both PSP & Animation open (IMPORTANT)…Minimize everything you have in PSP…
Go to Animation (you have your 3 images)…Single click on F:1…This should have a blue box around it with red lines on top & bottom)…Right click & Export Frames To Paint Shop Pro (One at a time – Example 1)…This will now take you back to PSP…



Now go to the Picture Tube Button on the tool bar (Ink Pen with what looks like an ink well)…go to your tool options…Locate your Twinkles/Sparkles and set the scale to how ever big you want the twinkle to be (In the one here I used a scale of 30 – Example 2)…Place the cursor where ever you want the twinkle and left click (Example 2A)…





If twinkle is to large or to small click the undo button and on the tool options increase or decrease the scale (higher the number = Larger…or lower the number= Smaller) until you find the size of twinkle you are happy with…After you placed the twinkles…right click on the header and left click on Update Back To Animation Shop (Example 3)…



Now X out of the F:1 (Not PSP – Example 3A)…



Which will now take you back to Animation Shop (Example 4)…This completes F:1…



Now do the same as above for F:2 (Placing the Twinkles/Sparkles in different areas on each of the 3 frames – (Red Circles only indicate where I placed them in each of the frames for this Tutorial)…Example 5)…



After completing F:2…Do the same for F:3…After you finished all the frames (you should be in animation shop) you can see how it looks buy clicking on the view animation button on the tool bar (looks like a film strip)…If your happy with what it looks like then click File on the tool bar…Save As…Name it what you want…Click on arrow for drop down screen…Save Type – CompuServe Graphics Interchange [*.gif]…You are now finished

CONGRATULATIONS – YOU JUST MADE YOUR SPARKLING TEXT TWINKLE

THIS IS YOUR COMPLETED TWINKLING/SPARKLING DIAMOND TEXT

I can do it pretty quickly now, I think I've got the hang of it. It could use some more sparkles, but looking good, nice tutorial again

Very nice, I like yours better, I guess you have to get good at putting the twinkles in random places. Do you make the sizes vary in the twinkles, or keep them all the same size?

I want to add my thanks for the sparkle tubes, as well as the additional sparkle tut! I just switched OS from Win98 to XP Pro and forgot to save any of my PSP files so am having to rebuild everything.

I posted a reply but I am not too sure where it ended up! Just wanted to say I found your tutorial by accident and I really enjoyed making my name animated. I found many sites online but not as through as yours! Keep up the good job!
