You can choose Roadrunner, Earthlink or (I think?) AOL as your ISP when signing up for cable modem service from Time Warner Cable.
The trouble that I had was that even though I was using Earthlink as my ISP, TWC routed everything through the crappy AOL Data Transit Network.

I was afraid of that -
I was wanting to switch to cable a little later on
and would have retained Mindspring as an ISP. From what you say, I would probably have that same problem. |
