That should cover it.
Is it coming back? Nope.
said by the horse's mouth: I'll just add my bit then close the thread because there is no point anyone wasting time posting in it, displayed total posts will NOT come back.
Number of posts is available in anyones profile if you care about such things. If you were using number of posts to judge anything written, well that would be silly, just because people do not post, they may still know the ropes, just because they post a lot, they still maybe a bozo. It was taken out because someone rightly said that with the addition of the ISP review link things were getting crowded. And it is the least important bit of info. Some kiddies also enjoy watching number of posts increase and/or like to show off number of posts and/or compete with each other for maximum number of posts. I don't really feel any desire to please those people. Some people are just born conservatives who hate change, or hate change without someone asking their permission first. I have some sympathy for the latter group, but you know, some small things like this will just keep changing without a prior (endless) discussion first thats just the nature of things around here. Endless discussions afterwards serve no purpose but to create new animosity and stir up unrighteous indignation that far outweighs the change itself.

If I want to read ISP reviews, I'll do so from the main page.
I honestly don't care about Joe Schmoe's Baby Bells horror story.
I think BBR is adding all these "features" without any input from users.
If they [site mantainers and the powers that be] want to add features, more power to them, but I say there should be an option to toggle them on and off on our [the user's] end. |
