| kudos to SBC
With the change of Ameritech to SBC, the migration to SBC/Yahoo (if you choose) and the fact new DSL accounts at SBC end in @sbcglobal.net, SBC could have told us old @ameritech.net people to change our email to @sbcglobal.net, but they didn't. We all know what a pain it is to change, and for SBC to leave things be....thanks. |

| I think that's what he's happy about.
Netcom-Mindspring-Earthlink was smart enough to do that too throughout all those mergers and acquisitions. All of the old domains are still active. |

"SBC could have told us old @ameritech.net people to change our email to @sbcglobal.net"
as in, geesh, they could have told us that they were taking away our e-mail addresses. Anyhow, oops! I had just read a post from Eak, so I guess I was expecting something else. Sorry about that, Senor Geek! -- My e-mail address is not grqdevcwq3421@dslr.net |

Glad SBC isnt as dumb.... Looks like Earthlink in the past has been simular in "we bought you but we'll let u keep your address as long as your a customer". |

Or, and more likely, the company wants a "unified" name. -- -= Mindspring MaxDSL via Covad 1536/384 TeleSurfer Pro =- |
