| Problems back in Minneapolis
Well, my problems are back once again here in Minneapolis. Service goes down about 5:45pm and stays down until 9:30pm or so. Why does this keep happening? If it's too much load, they have to get more capacity!
This is really annoying. Earthlink is very unreliable and their tech support sucks. They never acknowledge their problems or work with me. It's always the same excuses over and over.
The DSL is fine DURING the day when I am at work earning money to pay my $50 per month bill. But when I get home and want to USE the service, it's down half the time. Worthless, very poor service. |

If you're loosing sync on your DSL modem, has nothing to do with capacity, and everything to do with something interfering with the DSL signal. This won't necessarily affect everyone in your neighborhood... it may just be you. If there's an issue with sync, you must call tech support during the issue so they can properly troubleshoot. If you're keeping sync on your DSL modem, but your connection keeps getting reset, this *MAY* be a capacity issue, but unlikely. DSL, as opposed to cable modems, are not as sensitive to capacity issues. I would expect a 10-15% speed drop at the MOST on a DSL connection during prime-time hours. |

| reply to onceagain Do you mean that you lose sync for the same 3 to 4 hours every night? Weekends too?
Or something else?
