| bresnan vs comcast Is bresnan actually better though? It would appear that I'll be one of those sold to bresnan. But perhaps bresnan has caps worse then the 1G comcast news server thing. I couldn't find anything about their actual service and what packages/prices bresnan offers. Has anyone got a link for this? | |

| Re: bresnan vs comcast If you live in a poorly clustered area meaning that Comcast only has a few towns in the region that their local offices are managing, then most of your money is going elsewhere anyways. Any improvements or new products that Comcast will come up with will go to you last and you won't get any benefits of the large company. At least this way, all the profits will go toward your cable system not other cities. It's not a tremendous benefit, but a minor one. | |

| said by »www.cmcsk.com/pressroom/news/200···=100979: The purchase involves 197 communities including systems serving: Billings, Bozeman, Helena, Great Falls, Kalispell and Missoula, Montana; Cheyenne, Casper, Laramie and Jackson, Wyoming; and Grand Junction, Canon City and Durango, Colorado. Bresnan plans to upgrade the systems and launch advanced services through a substantial capital investment plan.
While the list is incomplete, I would expect SLC to be on the list if it were effected. In addition, other articles suggest these areas have not been ungraded for advanced services (such as internet), so it may be a while before anyone knows what Bresnan might offer.

| Re: Salt Lake City- not included Are you fairly sure that the UT section doesn't include Salt Lake then? On the bresnan site it mentioned Utah in their press release, but I have no idea which cities.
If it doesn't include SL, then I would likely be stuck with comcast and their 1G news server cap. Granted I don't like this, I also don't know if the bresnan folks will be better or worse off.
