skyjock has it right. My 144/144 idsl line was better for gaming than my cable line. My pings were better and 100's of servers below 100 ping. Now I'm lucky to find more than a few dozen sub 100 servers on cable.

DSL is generally better for gamers. Cable is great for downloads, P2P.

i recently got cable and ill have to say, the ping times are ALOT better with it than on my dsl, on dsl my pings were around 100-150, lower if the server was local, on cable, ive yet to have a ping higher than 75. on average my pings are in the 20's.

I must admit, my pings have been great lately, even during primetime.
I went from very bad to just fantastic. That’s why this is such a tough decision.

No... but somebody did suggest that dsl was better for gaming then cable which is totally wrong..
