| reply to FoMoCo Re: WTF
Might be some fine print on the box that says it runs out (1) after 12 months or (2) 3 months into 2003. That would be scummy, but without seeing the fine print, we can't know whether it's the case.
You could always ask Symantec.

| reply to FoMoCo The computer that it was on, did it come with Norton AntiVirus on it and did you un-install it before you put the new Store bought version on it? It could be a glitch and you could un-install it using Symantec un-install tool and then reinstalling it. -- Love my pork---Give me some skin Man!! |

| reply to FoMoCo said by FoMoCo : 12/26/02 is when I activated it.This is a store bought copy of 2002.
Ok, back to square one, heh...
Did it say anything about how long the original subscription runs for when you installed? Maybe it only gave you three months? errr, I'm grasping at straws here...and do you remember what it said in that box BEFORE you reinstalled? Different date? -- »www.sarahbrightman.co.uk »www.sarah-brightman.com/ |

| reply to FoMoCo I'm thinking the same thing as Dave. Why do you think this is wrong? It still knows when you activated the subscription even if you reinstall. You don't get to "start" over just because you did did a format and reinstall. No one would ever renew their subscriptions if they could do that. -- »www.sarahbrightman.co.uk »www.sarah-brightman.com/ |

| reply to FoMoCo So when did you first activate your subscription? You mentioned "formatting and installing", but you get 1 year from first activation, not 1 year from reinstalling.
(You might get even less if you're using a version that came with your PC -- maybe 90 days?) |

| This is more software but...
I did a format and fresh install just 3 months ago and I get a pop up from Nortons saying my sub will run out in 30 days.I know inflation is up but this is a joke.Anybody every see anything like this after three months? |
