Just got myself a X3. It has a TNETD5320 125mhz MIPS processor with 16MB of SDRAM powering the thing. The U numbers are the mark on the board, the description is my guess(es) on it.
U2 TI TNETD5014 (DSL support) U7 TI TNETD5100 (DSP) U6 IDT IDT71V256 (256K SRAM) U14 TI TNETD5320 (CPU) U13 Opti FireLink 82C861 (USB controller) U21&22 Samsung K4S641632E 7.5ns (64mbit SDRAM) U23 Toshiba TC58V64BFT (64mbit NAND Flash) U25 (can't read the part number because of label) U20 Broadcom BCM5221 (802.3u PHY)
There are two JP headers, JP4 and JP5. JP4 is located right next to the CPU, JP5 next to the Flash. Both are 2x7. |

@furball.org | The HD15 port is labeled "CVD Port" on the board itself. |

I have one. If you create a public project to hack on these, you are likely to get a better response. What exactly are you trying to do? -- See where my mind is: »www.gporcel.net |

| Just talked to some guy who's selling me his $20 shipped. Faster processor and faster ethernet could allow for 802.11a adaptivity.
Is the x3 USB 2.0 compatible, or just 1.1? The sucker was designed back in 2000/2001, so I'm guessing 1.1. -- "We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile. We are the Borg." 3.333GHz CRUNCH! CRUNCH! |

| It is 1.1. The USBF is identical to the X1/X2. The USBH is not working (probably because the drivers isn't in the firmware).
As for 802.11a, good luck. I counted a minimum of 64 lines required just to get the PCI bus working. I don't see 64 on the board. |
