Re: RT live? - post info here !!!

Does anyone know how I could find out the RT number I'm on? There are 4 RT's within 5000 to 7000 feet of my house and I'm not sure which one I'm on. I drive by them often and noticed each one has a four digit number on the side.

I wanted to post in this thread last November when my RT was lit, but the system would not let me since this thread was so old.

Anyway now that this topic is opened for business once again, the RT at Gossell and Bonner in Wauconda IL was turned on in early Nov '04.

There is rapid development around this area and I was told buy a tech. that if 7-10 more houses go up they will need to input an RT. That was about 6 months ago and I've noticed 6 new ones. He said nothing about it being DSL enabled.

It's been a while since SBC's upgraded any Remote Terminals. This is because, outside of the occasional exception that might come up, they're putting focus into project Lightspeed.

Still, if you see something new, post it here.

Both new RTs here in Munster, Indiana were lit:
Dec 5th: MNSTINASH00, serves 838,923,972 south of Ridge Road
Dec 30th: HMNDINIZ, serves 838,923,972 north of Ridge Road

From what I have seen so far, the 256 upload has not been implemented on the Standard package on either of these RTs at this point

WHTNILKT this is a CEV in Wheaton active for DSL. Exact location unknown to me.

I think it's on Butterfield, just east of Danada,
near that residential care
facility and Chipotle.

Re: In Progress

I went by there this evening after seeing stunod2002's post, and I saw the cold weather tent erected at one side of it. Looks like there might be DSL in my future after all.

Is that what they're working on there? I saw them working there Thursday night although it was too dark to tell what was going on. I don't envy them working in this cold.

CEV
The CEV located on Route 25 on the southeast corner of St. Monica's church in Carpentersville has gone live. The CEV address is 88 Kennedy Drive and services a good portion of the east side of Carpentersville. Other RT's located in Carpentersville should be going live soon. Re: ThoLive RT's

Hulb,

Plug your modem in the day you get it, your service will probably be on already. A client of mine had their service activation date set for October 10th, he got his modem and pllugged it in on september 15th and it was up and running...
