Introductions

Someone in the SETI forum did this a while back so I'm going to borrow his idea for here.

Let's all get to know each other better.

My name is Michael (you can call me Mike)
I live in Auburn, CA
I'm married for over 10 years to my wonderful wife and we're going to have our first baby in June!
I work as a network administrator for a major electrical engineering construction firm in the Sacramento area.

Ok, who's next?

My friend you beat me too it again.

I had this in mind and was hoping to make this post within the next week.

The post that Michael is revering to is this one,
»Time to get to know Team Starfire
And it was a great success over at team starfire.
It really gave a chance to get to know the members of the team a little better.

And with that said I think I should add a little about myself.

The name is Slava and I live in NYC.

I'm 28 years old and consider myself a college bum
(Queens College, sociology major).
Currently I am unemployed (unless you consider being a full time student work),
but that can all change with 1 call
In the past 5 years I was employed by the US Navy 4 out of the 5 years.
I'm currently in the reserve with the Navy.

I hope to finish college this year and then maybe take a school for networking.
There is also a chance that I might find myself living in Hawaii in the next year.
So if things go according to plan it should be a really interesting year.

Hopefully this tells a little about myself and through my posts you probably
are able to see my strange sense of humor.
(Many times I hope people are not offended by it).
And also more of my personality comes through in my posts.

I look forward to reading about my fellow teammates and hope to see this project keep growing.

R/ Slava

P.S
Did I mention a thumb up and a vote up for me on this post Michael?
Great job getting this started, it was well overdue.

This is a nice idea.

My name is Edwin, but call me Chip.
I live in Western Maryland, Hancock, so far west they don't consider it part of Maryland.
I am 48 years old, married for 25 years, 4 daughters, 11 grandchildren.
I am a Captain in the Maryland Division of Correction.
I work with a huge network of computers and as they say " water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink", meaning I would love to use them for Team Discovery and can't.
I plan on retiring in 8 years and moving to Virginia.
There's no doubt that I have an inexplicable sense of humor.

This Team is my sole focus in projects and I will do my utmost for it, to see new members come on board and watch it help peoples lives(the Team members and those helped by cures found). Crunch on and tag, you're it.

an Oracle DBA and all around "Markcanyoudothis?" (Which I have considered changing to my legal name since I hear it more often than not) person.

(You can read about the engagement hell week here »www.marknelson.ws/ )

My DC introduction was done over at the Seti forum here and I jumped in with both feet. After reaching the top 200 there I decided that I need to spread my computing power out to include more projects and this is the one I chose.

I don't post much right now due to time constraints, but I took today off to take care of some wedding stuff so you get this long winded post

Until next time:

May peace find you, love embrace you and laughter infuse you with its power.

Hello. My name is Dustin. I am 22 years old.

I run a business and am full-time employed. I work at a brewey in St. Louis, where I have been for the past 2 years.

What do I do there? Well, I maintain the lab machines and printers, as well as the servers. I wish I could do more in the networking area, but it's pretty much all in place. I do activate ports, etc as time goes on.

I have worked on a few multi-million dollar pilot projects. I helped jumpstart a predictive maintenance program. I traveled to Denver (Fort Collins) to help get them setup out there.

Okay.. about my business.. I provide co-location and hosting services.

Well now this is getting more in the spirit of things!!!

My name is John. I'm 28 yrs old. Married and have a great lil house in Tinton Falls New Jersey. As you can imaging from my nick name I was a memeber of a volunteer fire company for 10 years.

I am a computer geek, and work as a Software Support Engineer for Xpedite Systems in Tinton Falls, where I have been for 5 years now (the best part is I have a two minute commute to work lol). I have a home network with 4 computers that I tinker on all the time.

I love computers, Linux, BBQing, CSI, JetSki'ing, oooh I like a ton of things, and I am VERY freindly...

Feel free to chat with me anytime as I am usually bored lol.. I work 8-4 my wife works 4-12 and we both work for the same company, how weird is that!?

I really enjoy UD and this crunching stuff. Its a lot of fun and it's for a damn good cause.

If I have missed anything let me know lol!

OOOHH!! I almost forgot to mention my best freind Guinness!!! He is the best cat in the whole world!! (Well my world anyway!) There have been many pics of him around here before. When ever I work on the computers in my office he sleeps on his bed which I have made for him on top of the computers, he will stay there with me all night.
