Well now this is getting more in the spirit of things!!! 
My name is John. I'm 28 yrs old. Married and have a great lil house in Tinton Falls New Jersey. As you can imaging from my nick name I was a memeber of a volunteer fire company for 10 years.
I am a computer geek, and work as a Software Support Engineer for Xpedite Systems in Tinton Falls, where I have been for 5 years now (the best part is I have a two minute commute to work lol). I have a home network with 4 computers that I tinker on all the time.
I love computers, Linux, BBQing, CSI, JetSki'ing, oooh I like a ton of things, and I am VERY freindly...
Feel free to chat with me anytime as I am usually bored lol.. I work 8-4 my wife works 4-12 and we both work for the same company, how weird is that!?
I really enjoy UD and this crunching stuff. Its a lot of fun and it's for a damn good cause.
If I have missed anything let me know lol!
OOOHH!! I almost forgot to mention my best freind Guinness!!! He is the best cat in the whole world!! (Well my world anyway!) There have been many pics of him around here before. When ever I work on the computers in my office he sleeps on his bed which I have made for him on top of the computers, he will stay there with me all night.

This is a really good idea. So, here's all about me!
My name is Brian. I'm 30 years old, and live in Zion, Illinois. I have been married for 7 years now, and have 2 kids; My oldest son is Todd (age 5), and my youngest son is Josh (going to be 3 in April). In fact, I am also happy to report that we will be expecting another baby in November! Found out about that a week ago now.
We also have 2 cats, which have been pictured on here in a few threads as well.
As for my job, I am currently a Programmer/Analyst for Underwriters Laboratories (UL). I mostly do VB programming, some Web Development, and programming in Oracle Forms/Reports for the web as well. I also am the "PC Tech guy" for the group. They normally come to me first with PC problems before calling the help desk.
Well, that's about it. I have enjoyed reading about the members of our team, and look forward to reading about the rest of us.

Well, here goes....
My name is Dan and I'm 28 years old.
I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area (Las Colinas area of Irving, TX)
I've been married since August of last year.
We have no kids, but do have two cats Baxter and Tuli, and tons of fish (mostly blood-finned parrot-fish).
For my job... I work for Verizon Online as an analyst in their Performance Assurance group. I know that sounds vague. But, essentially, I do a lot of scripting, coding, and database administration in support of tons of reports that drive up to the VP level down to the sales rep level and also make sure people can get paid in a timely manner. I actually got my start here by building a DSL provisioning tracking system back in 2000 to support the Static DSL customers in the former GTE footprint.

I'm Neil, and I live in Bensalem, PA (just north of Philly).
I am 30 years old, and getting married next June (2004).
I'm a hospital pharmacist (I'll give a shout out to RXDOC here )and a Therapeutics lab instructor at the local pharmacy school. I just started grad school for my doctor of pharmacy, which should take about 2 years.
I like playing guitar, tinkering with computers, and crunching.

Hi. My name is Rich. I will be 46 on Friday. I live in Ellington CT. I’ve been married for twelve years and have three kids, ages 9 yrs, 8 yrs, and (oops!) 4 months. Hi,
I`m Neil from Cambridge here in the UK!
(God this sounds like a TV Game show)
41 years old and married to Elaine, my Soulmate and best friend, with two stepchildren.
I work as a Technician in the car repair trade and have been building pc`s for the last 5 years.
I joined Team Discovery in June 2002 when i discovered that my Mother had Terminal liver cancer, I`ve suffered from Hodgekins Disease in the past( And beaten it!) so i thought it would be nice to give something back.
Thank you to everybody who posts and cares enough to do something in these forums!
Love you Mum and i wish you were still with us. I miss you so much.

I'm Brian. I'm 29 and still single. I live in Cincinnati, but I still call Detroit home(the suburbs that is). I work for a company that does the billing for a lot of the major cellular phone companies. I'd been a software developer with them since I graduated from Indiana University 7 years ago. I just recently got moved over to application systems administration. In my spare time I like long moonlit walks, candle light dinners and furry animals. Ok, not really. Actually I just play hockey to fill my spare time. Best sport ever invented.. right Nightfall.

My name is michael, im 22 and i just finished college in december, so i still live at home with the 'rents and my grandmother..
I used to live in NY, and have a gf who lives an hour away back there, i try to see her as often as i can.. which usually means on weekends. 
im an underpaid system admin and professional websurfer for a non-paying place(that means im unemployed, keep myself active by tinkering with my computers and looking for a job all day!) hee hee..
my friend had hodgkins, and got over it. He had hospital malpractice, and is going in for surgery next week to correct his overradiated throat (hast swallowed in 2 years) good thing is no more hodgkins, bad news is he may not live past the surgery or may have to live the rest of his life unable to swallow, and stay at 125lbs Hes part of the reason why i joined this team.. cancer sucks, and my little computers are just a small contribution, but its a start! |

My name is Rick and by the looks of the previous posts, the oldest member. At 57, I'm a senior citizen.
Spent two tours of duty in VietNam during the late 60's, and then returned to school to focus on my education, eventually getting degrees in Electronics Technology and Business Administration.
Am a Certified Quality Engineer and Auditor and have been working in this area for the past thirty years.
Have also been blessed to be married to my "better half" for the past 30 years as well, and we have two children and one grandson. For the past two+ years, my wife has suffered from a condition called Fibromyalgia. Its not life threatening, but it is certainly life altering.
Started working with computers as a hobby over 20 years ago and have probably built about 15 computers during this period.
